Learn more about TRIQBRIQ

The Sustainability thematic area highlights innovative projects and technologies that support Berlin’s transition toward a greener, more resilient future. From climate-neutral construction and circular materials to energy efficiency and green mobility, this area showcases local solutions that contribute to the city’s environmental goals.
By connecting real-world prototypes like TRIQBRIQ with digital tools and urban data, we aim to foster climate-conscious decision-making and promote sustainable development across neighborhoods.
Thematic area: Sustainability
TRIQBRIQ is a modular timber construction system that enables sustainable, circular, and low-emission urban building. Made from regionally sourced residual wood, the system replaces traditional concrete and steel with reusable, CO₂-storing timber blocks. By combining digital fabrication with ecological design principles, TRIQBRIQ offers a scalable and carbon-negative alternative for future-proof construction.
Integrated into the Sustainability focus of the HTW Smart City Lab, TRIQBRIQ serves as a tangible example of how material innovation and circular economy thinking can contribute to climate-neutral urban development.
